SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Augustana's Jessa Richards and Christine Olivo, playing as the sixth-seeded doubles tandem at the USTA/ITA Central Region Championships, advanced to the quarterfinals which were played today in Springfield, Mo.
 
Richards and Olivo took on second-seeded Kristina Savchenkov and Valeriia Efimenko of Northeastern Oklahoma State and lost 8-3 earlier today. Last season, Richards played in the USTA/ITA Central Region doubles championship match alongside former doubles teammate Katie Jesperson.
 
Savchenkov and Efimenko advanced to the championship match of the tournament which will take place tomorrow.
 
Augustana women's tennis continues fall competition next Saturday and Sunday hosting the Augustana Invitational at the Huether Tennis Centre.
