Augustana football ranked 24th in final AFCA Poll of 2015

WACO, Texas – Augustana University football is ranked 24th in the final American Football Coaches' Association Top 25 Poll of the 2015 season the national organization announced on Monday. Augustana made its debut in the national poll at No. 24 in the final regular season poll of the season.
 
Earning the No. 24 spot in the AFCA poll on Nov. 16, Augustana made its first appearance in the national poll since Sept. 5, 2011.
 
Augustana finished the 2015 season with a record of 9-3, marking just its second season with nine or more wins in program history. The Vikings made their fourth NCAA Playoff appearance in program history and earned a share of the South Division Championship with a 6-1 record in NSIC divisional play.
 
Augustana is one of three NSIC teams ranked in the final AFCA poll of the 2015 season. Minnesota State was ranked 13th while USF was ranked 21st. All 25 teams in the final AFCA poll of the season participated in the 2015 NCAA playoffs.
 
Located in Sioux Falls, S.D., Augustana University is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
