ASHLAND, Neb. – The Augustana men's golf team took sixth after firing a 315 final-round score at the Quarry Oaks Collegiate on Sunday. The Vikings closed out the two-day tournament with a final team score of 619 (304-315).
Minnesota State was able to take advantage of windy conditions and move its way to the top of the leaderboard after posting a 304 score in the final round, bringing its total to 606 for the tournament. The Mavericks finished five shots ahead of Winona State and Concordia-St. Paul, who tied with an overall score of 611.
The Warriors' Mitch Holm took home individual medalist honors with a two-day score of four-over-par 146 (70-76). Holm finished two shots ahead Augustana's own
Drew Trautman, who fired a 75 on the final day of play to climb into a runner-up finish at 148 (73-75).
Parker Klitzke tied for 20th after shooting a 78 in the final 18 holes, bringing his tournament total to 155 (77-78), 13 over par.
Clay Kopplin finished in a tie for 29th after recording an 81 in the final round, closing out his tournament with a two-round score of 157 (76-81).
Collin Hammer wrapped up the two-day event by shooting an 81 in the final round. The sophomore finished in a tie for 38th with a score of 159 (78-81).
Tyler Jensvold tied for 49th with a two-round score of 163 (79-84).
The Vikings return to the greens for the Upper Iowa Spring Invite on April 3.
