Storylines
• No. 11 Augustana softball (47-7) earned the No. 1 seed in the NSIC/US Bank Softball Tournament after winning the NSIC Regular Season Championship finishing 28-2 in conference play. 
• The Vikings will play the lowest remaining seed between the 7-10 seeds. 
• No. 7 seed Minnesota Duluth plays No. 10 seed southwest Minnesota State and No. 8 seed St. Cloud State plays No. 9 seed Sioux Falls. 
• The lowest remaining seed will play Augustana at 2 p.m. on Field A at Sherman Park. 
• Augustana won 20-plus NSIC games for the sixth time in seven years since joining the league in 2009.
• Augustana's 28 NSIC wins is the most since joining the league.

• Senior Jenelle Trautmann ranks second on the team and in the NSIC with 19 home runs in 2015. 
• Trautmann, Augustana's all-time leader in home runs, has now hit 74 in her career which ranks third all-time in NCAA Division II history. 
• Trautmann is now just one home run shy of moving into a tie for second all-time. 
• Kutztown's Steph Denlinger (2006-09) is the NCAA Division II leader in career home runs with 79.
• Trautmann currently ranks 12th all-time in NCAA history (all divisions) in career home runs.
• With a three-run home run against Upper Iowa on March 31, Trautmann became just the fourth non-Division I player in NCAA history to hit 70-plus career home runs.  
• Trautmann is one of seven active players chasing the NCAA home run record, including Lauren Chamberlain of Oklahoma, who has tied the NCAA record with 90 career home runs, Shelby Pendley of Oklahoma, Megan Baltzell of Longwood 

Augustana in the NSIC Tournament
• Augustana has qualified for the NSIC Tournament every season since joining the NSIC in 2009. 
• Augustana is making its seventh straight NSIC Tournament appearance. 
• Augustana is 17-11 all-time in the NSIC Tournament. 
• Augustana advanced to the NSIC Tournament championship game last season before dropping both games to finish second. 
• Augustana won the NSIC Tournament in 2011. 

NCAA Central Region Rankings
• For the second straight week, Augustana is ranked No. 1 in the NCAA Central Region rankings. 
• The top two teams in the Central Region will host a portion of the Central Region Tournament. 
• Arkansas Tech is ranked second, Central Missouri third, Central Oklahoma fourth, and Missouri Western fifth. 
• Henderson State, Emporia State and Winona State round-out the top eight. 
• Augustana has made 22 NCAA Tournament appearances in program history, including five straight trips. 

The 40-win season
• At 47-7 on the season, Augustana has gone over the 40-win mark in a season 19 times in program history. 
• Augustana has won 40-plus games in two straight seasons after finishing 46-15 in 2014. 
• Augustana has won 40-plus games in a season five times under the direction of ninth-year head coach Gretta Melsted.

• Augustana ranks high in numerous team and individual NCAA Statistics.
• Augustana ranks eighth in the country with a team batting average of .348. 
• Augustana ranks eighth in the country averaging 1.48 home runs per game. The Vikings have hit the sixth-most total home runs in the country with 75. 
• Augustana ranks seventh in the nation in on-base percentage (.425), eighth in runs per game (6.96), fifth in slugging percentage (.565) and third in win/loss percentage (.870). 
• Sarah Kennedy ranks second in the nation with a .505 batting average.
• Kennedy has the second-most doubles in the country with 24 on the season. 
• Kennedy ranks fourth in the nation with 67 RBI and 12th with 16 home runs. 
• Kennedy ranks fifth in the country with a .918 slugging percentage.
• Jenelle Trautmann ranks third in the nation with 68 RBI, fourth with 19 home runs and a .923 slugging percentage.
• Trautmann's 27 wins in the circle ranks fifth in the country and her 1.78 ERA ranks 51st. 
• Trautmann ranks eighth in the nation with 260 strikeouts (10.3 strikeouts per seven innings). 
• Caitlin Nichol ranks third in the nation with 20 home runs on the season and is just two off the national lead.
• Nichol has hit multiple two or more home runs in four games this season, and ranks 6th averaging .37 home runs per game. 
• Nichol ranks 19th nationally with a .455 batting average, 13th in slugging percentage (.864) and 26th in on-base percentage (.536).

NSIC Player of the Week
• Senior third baseman Caitlin Nichol is the third player at Augustana to earn NSIC Player of the Week honors this season. 
• Nichol batted .429 with nine hits, including two doubles and three home runs helping Augustana to a 6-0 record and securing the NSIC Regular Season Championship. 
• Jenelle Trautmann was named the NSIC's pitcher of the week for the third time this season on April 21. 
• Trautmann has been named the NSIC's pitcher of the week six times in her career. 
• Trautmann has been named the NSIC's Player of the Week three times in her career, all this season.
• Sophomore shortstop Sarah Kennedy was named the NSIC's Player of the Week on March 31. 

Kennedy sets single season doubles record
• Sophomore shortstop Sarah Kennedy set the single season record at Augustana with her 24th double of the year in game two at Minnesota State last Saturday. 
• Kennedy broke the single season record of 23 which was set by Jenny Hill in 2000. 
• Jenny Hill currently holds the Augustana and the all-time NCAA Division II record with 87 career doubles. 
• Hill, the four-time All-America selection at Augustana and former head coach, hit 23 doubles in 2000, 22 in 2001 and 21 in 1999 and 1998. 

One streak ends, another starts
• Sarah Kennedy had a career-long 24-game hitting streak come to an end in a loss at Southwest Minnesota State on April 14. 
• Kennedy had a 23-game hitting streak hitting streak earlier in the season.
• Kennedy ended the 2014 season on a five-game hitting streak and had a hit in the first 18 games of the season in 2015. 
• Kennedy is currently on a 10-game hitting streak.
• Kennedy has a hit in 52 of 54 games this season. 
• Kennedy has reached base safely in all 54 games this season. 
• Kennedy enters the week leading the NSIC with a .505 batting average.
• Kennedy also leads the NSIC and  ranks second Division II with 24 doubles. 
• Kennedy also leads the NSIC with 93 hits on the season.
• She ranks second in the NSIC with 67 runs batted in and 59 runs scored. 
• Kennedy is seven RBI shy of the single season record of 74 set by Jenny Hill in 2001.
• Kennedy has two or more hits in 31 games this season and has driven in two or more runs in 21 games. 

The pitching staff
• Jenelle Trautmann leads the Vikings pitching staff with a record of 27-2 on the season. 
• Trautmann leads all pitchers in the NSIC and ranks fifth in the country with 27 wins. 
• Trautmann has compiled a 1.78 ERA in 28 starts and 36 appearances. 
• Trautmann has struck out a team-high 260 batters in 177.1 innings of work. 
• Carley Pickett owns an 16-4 record on the season in 33 appearances (22 starts).
• She leads the NSIC  with four saves on the year.
• Pickett led all of NCAA Division II in saves in 2014 with nine.
• Pickett has tossed six complete games and is holding batters to a .260 batting average. 
• She has struck out 117 batters in 125.0 innings pitched. 
• Karlee Koopman owns a 4-1 record and a 1.72 ERA on the season in the circle for the Vikings. 
• Koopman has four starts in 27 appearances and has struck out 33 batters in 44.2 innings of work. 
• Augustana's pitching staff owns a combined ERA of 1.90 and has struck out 410 batters in 347 innings.

Augustana strikeout record
• Senior right-handed pitcher Jenelle Trautmann became Augustana's all-time leader in batters struck out on Saturday. 
• She entered the weekend eight strikeouts shy of Katie Krauth's 752 strikeouts and struck out 13 in her first appearance in a 2-0 win over Minnesota State to break the record. 
• Trautmann struck out eight more batters in a win over Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday and now owns the all-time record at Augustana with 766. 
• Krauth struck out 752 batters from 2003-2006 in 625 innings pitched. 
• Krauth holds the school record striking out 8.42 batters per seven innings. 
• Trautmann ranks second all-time at Augustana striking out 7.42 batters per game in 722.2 innings pitched. 

Nichol sets the table and single season home run record 
• Senior third baseman Caitlin Nichol is batting .455 out of the leadoff spot for the Vikings this season. 
• She has 76 hits in 176 at-bats, including 12 doubles and a career-high 20 home runs. 
• Nichol se the single season home run record at Augustana hitting her 20th of the season at Concordia-St. Paul last Sunday. 
• Nichol tied a single game record at Augustana hitting three home runs in Sunday's game one win at Concordia-St. Paul. 
• Nichol broke Jenelle Trautmann's record of 19 that she set in 2014 and tied in 2015. 
• She has been hit by a pitch a team-high 12 times and ranks second with 21 walks. 
• She owns a .536 on-base percentage, which ranks third in the NSIC behind Sarah Kennedy and Jenelle Trautmann.
• Nichol has scored a team-high 76 runs on the season, which leads all players in the NSIC.
• Nichol has two or more hits in 25 games and two or more RBI in 13 games this season.  

Loved by Augie, feared by all
• Senior Jenelle Trautmann is batting .451 on the season with 64 hits in 142 at-bats. 
• Trautmann has 10 doubles and 19 home runs on the season.
• Trautmann also leads the NSIC with a career-high 68 RBI on the season. 
• Trautmann is six RBI shy of tying the single season record of 74 set by Jenny Hill in 2001.
• Trautmann has been walked a league-high 43 times.
• Trautmann was walked six times in a doubleheader against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, April 18. 
• Trautmann was intentionally walked four times in a game against Northern State on April 3, tying her own single-game record for intentional walks. 
• Trautmann is Augustana's all-time leader in RBI with 233 in her career.

Rounding out the order
• Kylie Rome is batting .337 on the season for the Vikings and has been on a hot streak over the last eight games. 
• In the last eight games, Rome is batting .391 with nine hits, including one double and five RBI. 
• Carley Pickett is batting .331 for the Vikings with five doubles and three home runs. 
• Carly Peterson is batting .325 for the Vikings with eight doubles, four home runs and 31 RBI. 
• Peterson leads the team with seven sacrifice hits and 14 stolen bases. 
• Jordan Schaffer is batting .300 on the season and is putting up some power numbers.
