MANKATO, Minn. - The Augustana College women's 4x400 meter relay team provisionally qualified and
Kayla Mescher took the top mark in the 400-meter hurdles on Wednesday at the MSU Twilight.
The women's 4x400 squad of
Charissa Etrheim,
Carina Hofmeister,
Anne Parsley, and Mescher provisionally qualified with a time of 3:46.68 to take first-place. With this mark, the women's 4x400 meter relay team currently sits 19th in the nation.
Closing out her busy day, Mescher also dominated the 400-meter hurdles taking first place after clocking a time of 62.00.
In the women's 4x100 meter relay, Etrheim, Hofmeister,
Irene Almarcha, and Parsley placed second with their 48:07-second run.
On the men's side,
Ryan Heuer took second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15:06.
Zach Jones led the way for the Vikings in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 51.27 for a fourth-place finish.
Thomas Sittig (51.43) and
John Isaacson (53.51) followed Jones performance taking fifth and sixth, respectively.
Augustana is back in action in Sioux Falls this weekend as they will compete in the Howard Wood Relays on May 1-2 at Howard Wood Field.
