Storylines
• No. 9 Augustana softball (53-9) will host the Central Super Regional for the second straight season after winning the Central Region 1 Tournament with three straight victories last weekend. 
• The Vikings defeated East Central University 4-1 in the Central Region 1 Championship to advance to the Super Regional. 
• Augustana, the No. 1 seed in the Central Region, will host No. 2 seed Central Missouri (47-14) in a best-of-three series this Friday and Saturday at Bowden Field. 
• First pitch on Friday is set for 3:30 p.m. Saturday will start at 1 p.m. with the "if necessary" game set for 3:30 p.m.
• No. 20 Central Missouri won the Central Region 2 Tournament last weekend winning three straight home games.
• The Jennies were the regular season and conference tournament champions in the MIAA in 2015.  
• Augustana is making its 23rd NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. 
• Augustana has made six consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament since 2010.
• Augustana has won one National Championship in program history, taking the national crown in 1991.
• The Vikings won their third Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Regular Season Championship in 2015. 
• Augustana won back-to-back NSIC titles in 2010 and 2011.

• Senior Jenelle Trautmann ranks second on the team and in the NSIC with 20 home runs in 2015. 
• Trautmann, Augustana's all-time leader in home runs, has now hit 75 in her career which ranks second all-time in NCAA Division II history. 
• Trautmann is now just four home runs shy of the NCAA Division II all-time record. 
• Kutztown's Steph Denlinger (2006-09) is the NCAA Division II leader in career home runs with 79.
• Trautmann currently ranks 12th all-time in NCAA history (all divisions) in career home runs.
• With a three-run home run against Upper Iowa on March 31, Trautmann became just the fourth non-Division I player in NCAA history to hit 70-plus career home runs.  
• Trautmann is one of eight   active players chasing the NCAA home run record, including Lauren Chamberlain of Oklahoma, who recently set the all-time NCAA record with her 91st career home run. 
• Oklahoma's Shelby Pendley ranks sixth all-time in NCAA history with 84 home runs, Valdosta State's Courtney Albritton and Trautmann are tied for second in Division II and 12th overall with 75 career home runs. 

The 50-win season
• At 53-9 on the season, Augustana has secured its ninth 50-plus win season in program history. 
• Augustana is the only team in NCAA Division II with 50-plus wins so far this season. 
• Augustana has the most wins of any team in the NCAA. 
• The two other teams with 50-plus wins this season are Michigan (51) and Florida (50).
• Augustana has won 50-plus games three times under the direction of ninth-year head coach Gretta Melsted. 
• Melsted led Augustana to 50 wins in 2011 and 53 wins in 2012. 
• Melsted has led Augustana to five 40-plus win seasons and seven 30-plus win seasons. 
• Augustana won a school record 61 games after winning the National Championship in 1991.

• Augustana ranks high in numerous team and individual NCAA Statistics.
• Augustana ranks eighth in the country with a team batting average of .339. 
• Augustana ranks seventh in the country averaging 1.32 home runs per game. The Vikings have hit the fifth-most total home runs in the country with 82. 
• Augustana ranks 10th in the nation in on-base percentage (.416), 11th in runs per game (6.65), sixth in slugging percentage (.544) and fourth in win/loss percentage (.855).
• Augustana has the most wins in Division II (53). 
• Sarah Kennedy ranks fourth in the nation with a .486 batting average.
• Kennedy ranks second in the nation with 25 doubles on the season and is one off the national lead. 
• Kennedy ranks fourth in the nation with 70 RBI and 12th with 17 home runs. 
• Kennedy ranks eighth in the country with a .870 slugging percentage.
• Jenelle Trautmann leads all players in NCAA Division II with 72 RBI on the season.
• Trautmann ranks sixth in the country with 20 home runs and ranks 15th with a .846 slugging percentage.
• Trautmann's 32 wins in the circle ranks third in the country and her 1.80 ERA ranks 40th. 
• Trautmann ranks eighth in the nation with 301 strikeouts (9.8 strikeouts per seven innings). 
• Caitlin Nichol leads the NCAA with 23 home runs on the season. She is tied with West Texas A&M's Renee Erwin.
• Nichol ranks 22nd nationally with a .448 batting average, 13th in slugging percentage (.847) and 29th in on-base percentage (.525).

Augustana sweeps Daktronics Central Region Awards
• Augustana's Sarah Kennedy was named the Daktronics Central Region Player of the Year, Jenelle Trautmann was named Pitcher of the Year. 
• Caitlin Nichol joined Kennedy and Trautmann on the Daktronics All-Central Region First Team.
• Carley Pickett was named Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team. 
• Kennedy, Trautmann and Nichol will now move on to the All-America ballot. 

Postseason awards
• Sarah Kennedy was recently named the Daktronics Central Region Player of the Year.
• Jenelle Trautmann was named the Daktronics Central Region Pitcher of the Year.
• Caitlin Nichol joined Kennedy and Trautmann on the Daktronics All-Central Region First Team. 
• Carley Pickett earned Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team honors.

Kennedy sets single season doubles record
• Sophomore shortstop Sarah Kennedy set the single season record at Augustana with her 24th double of the year at Minnesota State on April 25. 
• Kennedy broke the single season record of 23 which was set by Jenny Hill in 2000. 
• Jenny Hill currently holds the Augustana and the all-time NCAA Division II record with 87 career doubles. 
• Hill, the four-time All-America selection at Augustana and former head coach, hit 23 doubles in 2000, 22 in 2001 and 21 in 1999 and 1998. 
• Kennedy has 25 doubles on the season, which currently ranks second in the country behind Nicole Sardelich of St. Mary's (Texas) who has 26. 

One streak ends, another starts
• Sarah Kennedy had a career-long 24-game hitting streak come to an end in a loss at Southwest Minnesota State on April 14. 
• Kennedy had a 23-game hitting streak hitting streak earlier in the season.
• Kennedy ended the 2014 season on a five-game hitting streak and had a hit in the first 18 games of the season in 2015. 
• Kennedy has a hit in 57 of 62 games this season. 
• Kennedy has reached base safely in 61 of 62 games this season. 
• Kennedy enters the week ranking fourth in the nation with a .486 batting average.
• Kennedy ranks second in the country with 25 doubles in 2015.  
• Kennedy leads the team with 101 hits on the season and is eight away from the single season record at Augustana. 
• She ranks second on the team with 70 RBI and 65 runs scored. 
• Kennedy is four RBI shy of the single season record of 74 set by Jenny Hill in 2001.
• Kennedy has two or more hits in 34 games this season and has driven in two or more runs in 21 games. 

The pitching staff
• Jenelle Trautmann leads the Vikings pitching staff with a record of 32-3 on the season. 
• Trautmann ranks third in the nation with 32 wins on the year. 
• Trautmann has compiled a 1.80 ERA in 34 starts and 43 appearances. 
• Trautmann has struck out a team-high 301 batters in 214.1 innings of work. 
• Carley Pickett owns an 17-4 record on the season in 37 appearances (23 starts).
• She leads the team and led all players in the NSIC with four saves. 
• Pickett led all of NCAA Division II in saves in 2014 with nine.
• Pickett has tossed six complete games and is holding batters to a .260 batting average. 
• She has struck out 131 batters in 136 innings pitched. 
• Karlee Koopman owns a 4-2 record and a 1.90 ERA on the season in the circle for the Vikings. 
• Koopman has five starts in 28 appearances and has struck out 35 batters in 51.2 innings of work. 
• Augustana's pitching staff owns a combined ERA of 1.97 and has struck out 442 batters in 381 innings.
 
Augustana strikeout record
• Senior right-handed pitcher Jenelle Trautmann became Augustana's all-time leader in batters struck out this season. 
• Trautmann has struck out a single season record 301 batters in 2015 and is the all-time leader with 807 career strikeouts. 
• Trautmann passed Katie Krauth who struck out 752 batters from 2003-2006 in 625 innings pitched. 
• Krauth holds the school record striking out 8.42 batters per seven innings. 
• Trautmann ranks second all-time at Augustana striking out 7.44 batters per game in 759.2 innings pitched. 

Nichol sets the table and single season home run record 
• Senior third baseman Caitlin Nichol is batting .448 out of the leadoff spot for the Vikings this season. 
• She has 91 hits in 203 at-bats, including 12 doubles and a career-high 23 home runs. 
• Nichol holds the single season home run record with 23 on the season, which currently ranks tied for first in the conference.
• Nichol tied a single game record at Augustana hitting three home runs at Concordia-St. Paul on April 26.
• In just two seasons at Augustana, Nichol has hit 37 home runs which ranks her third all-time in program history.
• She has been hit by a pitch a team-high 13 times and ranks second with 22 walks. 
• She owns a .525 on-base percentage and an .847 slugging percentage in 2015. 
• Nichol has scored a team-high and single season record 84 runs this year.
• Nichol has two or more hits in 27 games and two or more RBI in 14 games this season.  

Loved by Augie, feared by all
• Senior Jenelle Trautmann is batting .414 on the season with 67 hits in 162 at-bats. 
• Trautmann has 10 doubles and a career-high 20 home runs on the season.
• Trautmann leads all of NCAA Division II with 72 RBI on the year. 
• Trautmann is three RBI shy of passing the single season record of 74 set by Jenny Hill in 2001.
• Trautmann has been walked 47 times this season, which leads the team and all players in the NSIC. 
• Trautmann was walked six times in a doubleheader against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, April 18. 
• Trautmann was intentionally walked four times in a game against Northern State on April 3, tying her own single-game record for intentional walks. 
• Trautmann is Augustana's all-time leader in RBI with 237 in her career.

Rounding out the order
• Carley Pickett is batting .337 for the Vikings with five doubles, one triple and four home runs on the season. 
• Carly Peterson is batting .313 on the year with 57 hits, including eight doubles and five home runs. 
• Peterson has driven in 37 runs and scored 40. She owns a .440 slugging percentage. 
• Jordan Schaffer is batting .312 for the Vikings with 53 hits, including 12 doubles and 56 RBI. 
•Kylie Rome owns a .302 batting average with three doubles, two home runs and 18 RBI. 
• Maddie Merriam is batting .242 with 11 doubles, two home runs and 24 RBI. 

About Central Missouri
• Central Missouri enters the Super Regional with a record of 47-14 on the season. 
• The Jennies won the Central Region 2 Tournament defeating Missouri Western 7-2 in the opening round before beating Henderson State twice, 4-2 and 2-0. 
• Central Missouri played its way back into the championship game of the MIAA Tournament and won the conference tournament title beating Pittsburg State twice (6-1 and 7-1).
• Central Missouri enters the weekend batting .309 as a team with 99 doubles, six triples and 48 home runs.
