ALLENDALE, Mich. – Augustana women's golf concluded the 2014-15 season with an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championship shooting a four-round score of 138-over-par 1290 (334-321-317-318) after shooting a 30-over-par 318 in the final round on Saturday. Augustana made its seventh NCAA Championship appearance in program history.
The University of Indianapolis captured the National Championship shooting a 60-over-par 1212 (305-299-309-299) matching its four-round low score of 11-over-par 299. Rollins College took second firing a tournament-low round of five-over-par 293 on Saturday to finish five strokes off the lead at 65-over-par 1217 (306-314-304-293).
Midwestern State's Brenna Moore won individual medalist honors shooting nine-over-par 297 (74-73-74-76) for the tournament.
Sierra Langlie was Augustana's highest finisher at the national tournament shooting a 28-over-par 316 (80-75-80-81) to tie for 42nd on the individual leaderboard. Langlie carded a nine-over-par 81 in today's final round.
Kali Trautman finished in a four-way tie for 49th overall shooting her tournament-low score of four-over-par 76 this afternoon. Trautmann finished the national championship at 34-over-par 322 (84-82-80-76).
Emily Israelson and
Jordan Bormann each tied for 58th individually. Israelson shot an eight-over-par 80 on Saturday to bring her four-round score to 40-over-par 328 (87-84-77-80). Bormann fired a nine-over 81 this afternoon to bring her 72-hole total to 40-over-par 328 (83-84-80-81).
Jennifer Pederson finished at 11-over-par 83 this afternoon and completed the tournament with a 65th place finish with a 46-over-par 334 (87-80-84-83).
Augustana won its sixth straight NSIC Championship in 2014-15 before winning its fourth Central Region Championship in program history. The Vikings have finished 11th or better in all seven strips to the NCAA Championships.
