SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Due to heavy rainfall and poor playing conditions the second round of the Super Region Fall Preview hosted by Augustana at Minnehaha Country Club has been canceled. The results from day one of the tournament will be final.
 
Augustana shot a 21-over-par 305 and won the team title behind individual medalist honors by Jordan Bormann. The Vikings finished 17 strokes ahead of Northwest Missouri State who placed second at 38-over-par 322.
 
Augustana had five individuals place in the top eight of the Super Region Three Fall Preview, led by Bormann.
 
Bormann finished at 3-over-par 74 to win her first career medalist honor as a Viking. She fired a pair of birdies on the front nine on Monday and made par on seven of the last nine holes to finish 3-over-par 74 with a two stroke lead over second-place finishers Emily Israelson and Sierra Langlie.
 
Israelson and Langlie fired 5-over-par 76 to tie for second. Israelson was 3-over-par through nine holes and fired a birdie on the 505-yard, par-5 hole No. 12. She finished the back nine holes at 2-over-par to close-out the day at 5-over. Langlie made par on five straight holes on the front nine on Monday and used back-to-back birdies after a bogey to finish the back at 2-over.
 
Sydney Weber, competing as an individual for the Vikings, tied for sixth at 7-over-par 78. Weber started the first round with a birdie on No. 1 before finishing 1-over-par on the front nine. She was 5-over on the back nine and carded a 7-over-par 78 to record her first career top-10 finish for the Vikings.
 
Kali Trautman placed eighth overall at 8-over-par 79. Trautman delivered a birdie with an excellent putt on No. 8 and finished 4-over-par through nine holes. She finished the afternoon going 4-over-par on the back nine to tie for eighth.
 
Hannah Hankinson fired a 10-over-par 81 to tie for 12th and McKayla Poppens, who played as an individual for the Vikings, tied for 17th at 11-over-par 82. Abby Martin, who was also playing as an individual for the Vikings, shot a 21-over-par 92 to place 49th.
 
Augustana will close-out the fall portion of the 2016-17 season Oct. 10-11 at the Midwest Classic Golf Tournament hosted by Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.
