SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Mistakes cost Augustana (6-5) on Sunday as the Vikings lose both games of Sundays doubleheader against Concordia-St. Paul (7-2).
GAME ONEGame one was a low scoring affair between the Vikings and Golden Bears Sunday, as pitching dominated throughout. Augustana's
Ryne Lees got the start for the Vikings in game one, giving up just two runs, only one of which was earned while Concordia's Kody Knaus pitched a seven inning complete game, giving up just one unearned run.
In the first inning Concordia scored their only runs of the game after Connor Olson opened the game with a double to left center. Two batters later Olson and Eric Fasnacht traded places for the game's first run. The Golden Bears final run came after Alex LaPorte walked and then took off for second in a delayed steal, scoring Fasnacht on the throw to second base.
The Vikings lone run of the game in the bottom of the third, with two outs.
Carter Wevik got the Vikings first hit with a single to right center. After Wevik advanced to second on a wild pitch,
Patrick O'Donnell reached on a throwing error by the shortstop, allowing Wevik to score from second. Â Â

GAME TWOMuch like game one, runs were at a premium in game two. The Golden Bears scored first once again in the first inning when Andrew Shotwell hit a home run.
Augustana took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after
Patrick O'Donnell doubled down the left field line.
Justin Warne earned the RBI in the next at-bat after he singled to left field and advanced to second on the throw. Warne later scored when he took off for home after Fink got caught in a rundown.
Concordia-St. Paul scored the final two runs of the game in the top of the ninth inning after two Viking errors helped produce two Golden Bear runs.
