SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University softball (17-10, 4-1 NSIC) returns to action today at 2 p.m. with a doubleheader against Upper Iowa University (19-9, 5-1 NSIC) in Fayette, Iowa. The Vikings enter Tuesday's twinbill having won three straight games, going 3-0 last weekend in North Dakota.
Augustana is 5-1 in NSIC play after opening conference play with a split at Wayne State March 22. The Vikings rank second in the NSIC in batting average (.333) and runs scored (169). Augustana has allowed opponents to hit just .268 on the season, giving up just 93 runs.

Carly Peterson currently leads the NSIC with 13 doubles on the season. Peterson is batting .398 as Augustana's leadoff hitter and shares the league-lead with 31 runs scored.
Carley Pickett currently leads the Vikings at the plate batting .404 with 36 hits, including seven doubles. Pickett also owns a 10-5 record in the circle having struck out 68 batters in 90.1 innings of work.
Maggie Kadrlik leads the team and the NSIC with 30 RBI on the year. Kadrlik is batting .353 with six doubles and a team-high seven home runs.
Sarah Kennedy enters Tuesday's game with a .386 batting average, 10 doubles, three home runs and 29 RBI.
Upper Iowa enters today's game tied for second in the NSIC with a 5-1 record. The Peacocks are batting .284 as a team with 42 doubles, nine triples and 18 home runs. Brooke Redmond leads the UIU pitching staff with a 10-2 record. She has struck out 102 batters in 87.1 innings pitched.
Following Tuesday's doubleheader at Upper Iowa, Augustana will return to Sioux Falls for its home opener on Saturday, April 2. The Vikings will host MSU Moorhead in a doubleheader on Saturday at 12 p.m. before taking on Northern State in a twinbill on Sunday at 12 p.m.
