SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University softball (18-11, 5-1 NSIC) will open its 2016 home schedule this weekend with a pair of doubleheaders at Bowden Field. The Vikings have played 29 straight games away from Sioux Falls and will open the home schedule against MSU Moorhead (8-14, 1-5 NSIC) on Saturday, April 2, at 12 p.m.
On Sunday, Augustana will host Northern State (12-18, 2-4 NSIC) in a doubleheader with first pitch of game one set for 12 p.m. Augustana's next 12 games will be played in Sioux Falls, including 10 home contests.
Last time out• Augustana split a doubleheader at Upper Iowa on Tuesday, dropping the opener 5-1 before winning the nightcap 3-2
• In game one, Upper Iowa capitalized on three Augustana errors in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring four runs to gain a 5-0 lead over the Vikings
