Four Vikings named to WGCA All-America Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four members of the Augustana University women's golf team have been named to the Women's Golf Coaches' Association All-American Scholar Team the national organization announced Tuesday.
 
Emily Israelson, Kali Trautman, Jordan Bormann and Katie Grevlos were all named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team.
 
Bormann has been named to the WGCA All-America Scholar Team in three straight seasons. Trautman and Grevlos are making their second straight appearance on the WGCA All-America Scholar Team.
 
A total of 828 women's collegiate golfers earned the prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-America Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
 
Israelson earned All-NSIC First Team and WGCA All-Central Region honors in 2015-16 for the Vikings. Israelson played in all 11 events, placing in the top-10 of five events, including five top-five finishes and two medalist honors. She placed fourth at the NSIC Championship and tied for 24th at the NCAA Super Region Three Championship.
 
Trautman won individual medalist honors at the NSIC Championship and the NCAA Super Region Three Championship this past season. She earned All-NSIC First Team and WGCA All-Central Region honors after recording five top-five finishes on the year. Trautman finished the season ranked fourth on the team with a 77.4 stroke average.
 
Bormann was named to the All-NSIC Second Team in 2015-16 after posting a 79.8 stroke average in 11 events. She placed sixth at the NSIC Championship and tied for 24th at the NCAA Super Region Championship. Bormann fired her season-low round of three-over-par 75 at the National Championship Preview on Sept. 29.
 
Grevlos earned Academic All-NSIC honors for the second straight season in 2015-16. She played in nine rounds and five events and compiled an 81.6 stroke average on the year. Grevlos fired a season-low round of four-over-par 76 twice on the season.
 
Augustana women's golf made its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last nine seasons in 2015-16. The Vikings won their seventh straight NSIC Championship this season before winning the Super Region Three Championship for the second straight season. Augustana has won the region title five times in the last seven years.
 
Located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Augustana University is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
