CARMEL, Ind. – Augustana University women's golf shot a 19-over-par 307 in the second round of the University of Indianapolis Invite on Tuesday afternoon and finished 10th out of 17 teams at 46-over-par 622 (315-307).
Dallas Baptist fired a 285 this afternoon and won the individual title shooting nine-over-par 585 as a team. Katharina Keilich of U-Indy won individual medalist honors after firing a 3-under-par 141 (70-71).
Augustana was led by
Emily Israelson who tied for 20th out of 93 players shooting 7-over-par 151 in the two-round tournament. Israleson was tied for 28th after the first round score of 50-over-par 77 on Monday. She fired back with a 2-over-par 74 this afternoon to jump eight spots on the leaderboard.
Freshmen
Hannah Hankinson and
McKayla Poppens both tied for 33rd overall. Hankinson moved up one spot from her first round score of 6-over-par 78. Hankinson fired a 5-over-par 77 this afternoon to finish the tournament at 11-over-par 155.
Poppens sat in 43rd after a first round score of 7-over-par 79 yesterday but she vaulted up 10 spots to finish 33rd after carding a 4-over-par 76 this afternoon to bring her score to 11-over-par 155.
Jordan Bormann took two strokes off of her first round score this afternoon shooting 8-over-par 80 to finish at 18-over-par 162 (82-80) which was good to tie for 59th.
Kali Trautman finished tied for 77th with a final score of 26-over-par 170 (81-89).
Augustana will return to action Sept. 24-25 at the Mustang Invitational hosted by Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minnesota.
