SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana men's and women's cross country teams proved they can perform well under the bright lights. In the sixth Annual Augustana Twilight the men took first in the college team scoring with five runners finishing in the top-10. The women held their ground with a third place showing.
Leading the men to a top finish were seniors
Glen Ellingson and
Keegan Carda, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively. Ellingson completed the four-mile course in 19:08.45 and Carda ran it in 19:09.77.
Right behind the senior tandem was redshirt freshman
Jesus Urtusuastegui with a sixth place showing. It was Urtusuastegui's first meet as a Viking and he finished the course in 19:11.20.

John Klecker came back in style after missing last season as a medical redshirt. Klecker took seventh place with a time of 19:33.45.

Nate Souther rounded out the Augustana scoring with a 10th place finish with a time of 19:37.34.
Leading the women to a third place team finish was sophomore
Mackenzie Kelly, who had a good showing after a strong freshman season. Kelly finished in seventh with a time of 17:11.44.
Behind Kelly was freshman
Alana Sesow and sophomore
Courtney Hottovy. Sesow made her Viking debut with a 14th place finish at a time of 17:30.44. Hottovy finished in 18th with a time of 17:38.51.
Rounding out the team scoring was junior
Avery Selberg, redshirt freshman
Amanda Nelson and freshman
Rebekah Rairdon finishing in 47th, 48th and 49th, respectively.
The sixth annual Augustana Twilight saw its largest number of participants with 27 colleges and 37 high schools.
