PALM DESERT, Calif. – Augustana University women's golf moved up two spots to finish fourth out of nine teams at the Augustana Spring Fling at the Classic Club. The Vikings fired a 22-over-par 310 in the second round to finish at 54-over-par 630 (320-310). The University of Indianapolis won the team title shooting 23-over-par 599 (298-301).
 
Pilar Echeverria of U-Indy won individual medalist honors shooting 2-over-par 146 (72-74). The tournament is the first of the spring season for Augustana. The Spring Fling featured five nationally ranked teams. U-Indy is ranked third in the country, Rollins seventh, CSU San Marcos 13th, Central Oklahoma 23rd and Augustana 34th.
 
Sierra Langlie led Augustana tying for 15th overall after sitting in fifth after the first round. Langlie shot 9-over-par 81 this afternoon to finish 13-over-par 157 (76-81).
 
Emily Israelson moved from 36th to 19th after firing a 3-over-par 75 today to finish the 18-hole tournament at 14-over-par 158 (83-75).
 
Hannah Hankinson moved up 11 spots to finish in a tie for 19th with Israelson. Hankinson shot a 9-over-par 81 in the first round before firing a 5-over-par 77 to card a 14-over-par 158 (81-77).
 
Kali Trautman took finished six strokes better than her first round score today, firing a 5-over-par 77 to finish in a tie for 25th at 16-over-par 160 (83-77).
 
Competing as an individual for the Vikings, McKayla Poppens tied for 32nd shooting 19-over-par 163 (88-75) after firing a 3-over-par 75 Friday. Sydney Weber, also competing as an individual, tied for 37th shooting 21-over-par 165 (82-83).
 
Jordan Bormann finished tied for 37th at 21-over-par 165 (80-85). Annemarie Fisher and Abby Martin both competed as individuals for Augustana. Fisher placed 53rd at 37-over-par 181 (89-92) and Martin placed 54th shooting 42-over-par 186 (97-89).
 
Augustana returns to action March 25-26 at the Nebraska-Kearney Invite in Kearney, Nebraska.
