SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University softball (24-10, 9-3 NSIC) will play six games in the next four days, starting with a doubleheader at Southwest Minnesota State (15-13, 6-6 NSIC) at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12. The Vikings will then travel to Aberdeen on Friday to take on Northern State and Moorhead, Minnesota for a doubleheader against MSU Moorhead on Saturday.
Wednesday's doubleheader at Southwest Minnesota State was originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. start but was bumped up to 12 p.m. due to the weather forecast in Marshall, Minnesota.
First pitch between Augustana and Northern State on Friday is set for 1 p.m. while the Vikings and Dragons will get a doubleheader underway at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Augustana enters the week with a 9-3 record in conference play, which puts the Vikings in fourth place in the NSIC standings. The Vikings went 5-1 in six home games last week after picking up sweeps over Upper Iowa and Minot State. During the homestand, Augustana hit .406 as a team, out-scoring its opponents 50-18 while hitting seven doubles, one triple and seven home runs.
