SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Augustana University women's golf shot a 24-over-par 312 in the final round of the Central Region Spring Preview at Rivercut Golf Course on Tuesday to move up one spot and finish fifth out of 21 teams at 53-over-par 629 (317-312).
Northeastern State won the team title shooting 39-over-par 615 (309-306), finishing five strokes ahead of Henderson State. Ebba Moberg of Northeastern State won individual medalist honors, finishing at 1-over-par 145 (72-73).
Emily Israelson led the Vikings at the preview finishing in a four-way tie for eighth, recording her fifth top-10 finish of the season. Israelson fired a 4-over-par 76 in the second round on Tuesday to finish at 10-over-par 154 (78-76). The highlight of the tournament for Israelson came on hole No. 15 on Tuesday, a 125-yard, par-3, which she delivered her third career hole-in-one.
Hannah Hankinson fired identical rounds of 7-over-par 79 in both rounds to place 27th at 14-over-par 158.
Sierra Langlie shaved three strokes off of her first round score, shooting a 6-over-par 78 on Tuesday to finish tied for 31st at 15-over-par 159 (81-78).
Kali Trautman tied for 31st at 15-over-par 159 after shooting 7-over-par 79 in round one and 8-over-par 80 in round two.
Sydney Weber moved up nine spots to finish tied for 40th overall at 18-over-par 162. Weber was 11-over-par through 18 holes before firing a 7-over-par 79 on Tuesday.
Augustana will now turn its attention to postseason play. The Vikings will compete at the NSIC Championship April 20-22 in Morton, Minnesota, seeking their eighth straight conference title.
