NEW ULM, Minn. - The Augustana University men's golf team traveled to New Ulm, Minnesota on Friday to compete in the Spring Dual against Concordia-St. Paul.
Parker Klitzke won the event with a 1-over par but the Vikings fell to the Golden Bears 307 to 312.
Klitzke won his second consecutive event on Friday with an 18-hole score of 1-over par 72. Klitzke finished three strokes ahead of Tyler Dunn of Concordia-St. Paul who finished in second. Last weekend Klitzke won his first collegiate event at the NSIC Spring Preview.
Junior
Ted Urch was the second highest finisher for the Vikings. Urch finished in fourth place after shooting a 6-over par 77.
Cole Crawford,
Carter Kranz and
Les Williams all finished within one stroke of each other. Crawford was 10-over par while Kranz was 11-over par and Williams was 12-over par. Crawford's 81 gave him a 10th place finish. Kranz finished in a tie for 11th with an 82 and Williams finished tied for 13th with an 83.
Brady Arzdorf,
Dakota Waverek and
Brennen Fuhr all competed as individuals at the Spring Dual. Arzdorf and Waverek each shot a 9-over par 80 which put them in a tie for eighth-place. Fuhr shot an 11-over par 82 which gave in a tie for 11th.
Augustana will be on the road next weekend as they compete for an NSIC Championship. The Vikings will be in Smithville, Mo. April 13-15 competing at the par-72, 6,964 yard Outlaw Course at Paradise Point Golf Club.
