BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- For the first time in her career, Berkley Darr, a senior for the Augustana women's tennis team, is the NSIC Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. It's the second time this season a member from the Vikings women's tennis team has garnered the award.

The Sioux Falls Washington product went 3-0 in singles play and 3-0 at No. 1 doubles with teammate Kornelia Staniszewska. Darr defeated Danielle Vasiliev of Carleton College, 6-3, 7-5  and Olivia Keelin 6-0, 6-0 of MSU Moorhead at No. 2 Singles. At No. 1 singles, she earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Lucia Bolibruch of U-Mary.

Darr and Staniszewska defeated Zoe Park and Vasiliev of Carleton 8-1, Kelsey Lajom and Bolibruch of U-Mary 8-0, and Julia Geske and Keelin of MSU Moorhead 8-3.

The Augustana women's tennis team, who's 7-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play, returns to action with two matches over the weekend. The Vikings host Minnesota Crookston on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. and Bemidji State on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 9 a.m. Both matches take place at the Greatlife Woodlake Athletic Club.
