ST. JOSEPH, MO -- The Augustana women's tennis team earned their second victory of the season in a dominating 5-0 win over Truman State University in their final match of the Missouri Western Duals Saturday afternoon.

Redshirt freshman Anca Rusu and senior Kaitlyn Schultz got things rolling for the Vikings as they defeated Kayla Peterson and Finessa Rassel 8-1 at No. 3 doubles. Freshman Grace Goble and 2017 NSIC Freshman of the Year Taylor Jackson earned an 8-1 victory over Morgan Ebby and Alexandra Rodgers. Senior Berkley Darr and junior Kornelia Staniszewska clinched the Augustana doubles sweep with an 8-1 win over Maura Dunn and Lindsay Schlichting at No. 1 doubles.

In singles play, Schultz defeated Kayla Peterson (6-0, 6-1) to put the Vikings up 4-0. At No. 5 singles, Annika Teske knocked off Rassel (6-0, 6-1) to clinch the 5-0 win over Truman State.

Win the win, Augustana improves to 2-1 overall. The Vikings return to action Saturday, Feb. 10 when they host Minnesota State at 7 p.m. inside the Greatlife Woodlake Athletic Club.
