SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- This is a story that keeps repeating itself. For the 10th consecutive time, the Augustana women's tennis team dismantled its opponent, this time, the Sioux Falls Cougars - 9-0 - Friday night inside the Greatlife Woodlake Athletic Club.
The Combination of senior
Berkley Darr and junior
Kornelia Staniszewska set the tone early at No. 1 doubles, taking down Chloe Jefferies and Megan Quandt of Sioux Falls 8-0. With the win the combo moves to 11-0 on the season.
Taylor Jackson and
Kaitlyn Schultz took down Lexi Miller and Joelle Thorfinnson 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Grace Goble and
Anca Rusu earned the win at No. 3 doubles.
Staniszewska, Darr, Jackson, Goble,
Annika Teske, Schultz and Rusu each earned singles victories.
With the win the Vikings improve to 10-1 overall and 7-0 in the NSIC.
Augustana returns to action Saturday, March 3 when they host Nebraska-Kearney at 7 p.m.
