SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Both the Augustana men's and women's tennis teams were in action Saturday night. The women defeated Upper Iowa, 9-0, and improved to 15-3 overall and 8-0 in NSIC play. The men dropped a 6-3 decision to Gustavus Adolphus and falls to 4-6.

Women
At No. 1 doubles, Kornelia Staniszewska and Berkley Dar defeated Shakhnaza Zhanatova and Anna Okolot 8-0 of Upper Iowa. Taylor Jackson and Kaitlyn Schultz took down Lara Peco and Lavanya Singh 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.

In singles play, Staniszewska, who's ranking sixth nationally, dropped Zhanatova 6-1, 6-0. At No. 5 singles, Anca Rusu defeated Breanna Heichert 6-0, 6-0.

Men
Charlie Adkins knocked off Michael O'Neal, who's a member of the 7th ranked Gustavus squad, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Zach Adkins earned the 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (5-0) victory at No. 2 singles. The final victory for the men came at the hands of Austin VanDerWeide 0-6, 6-3, 9-0.
