INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Augustana football team checked in at No. 7 in the first Super Region Four rankings of 2019. The Vikings, 6-2 overall, are one of four NSIC teams in the initial rankings.

The top seven teams in each region earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The top seed receives a bye, while seeds 2-4 host a home game.

The Vikings hold a victory over the team in the eighth spot, Sioux Falls, while Minnesota State is No. 2. Winona State is No. 9 with the Vikings and Warriors set to square off on Nov. 9.

Super Region Four is made up of the 41 teams from the NSIC, Great Northwest Athletic Conference, Lone Star Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The NCAA Division II Football selection show is set to air on NCAA.com on Sunday, Nov. 17.
