SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana swimming team travels to Mankato, Minnesota, to take on Minnesota State on Thursday at 5 p.m.

The Opponent 
The Mavericks have started the season 4-0 with wins over two Division I teams in South Dakota and Northern Iowa. The last time out for MSU was against Gustavus Adolphus and UW-Stevens Point where it defeated GAC by a score of 1,1413-1,043 and UWSP 1458-889. 

The Vikings
The Augustana swim team traveled to Sioux City, Iowa, to compete in the Morningside Invite. This past Sunday, the Vikings took first place with a score of 751 in the 10-team invite. The 200-yard medley relay 'A' team started things off with a second-place finish and a time of 1:53.74 while the 'C' team placed third with a time of 1:55.38. Ruth Huffman took the top honors in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:20.06 while Destini Oehlertz finished in third with a time of 5:25.99. 

Taylor Beagle placed first with a time of 2:15.07 in the 200-yard IM and Isabel Waite finished third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.74. Oehlertz and Kelsey Gilbert finished first and third in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 2:12.90 and 2:17.06

One Last Thing
The Vikings will host the Augustana Invitational on Nov. 21-23 and then will host SMSU on January 11th before closing out the season at Nebraska-Kearney on Jan. 25.
