BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that 86 Augustana student-athletes earned NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2019 fall athletic season. Nearly half of those student-athletes, 42 total, earned the distinction of NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.

"Not only do our coaches recruit the kinds of students that excel in all aspects of their life at Augustana, but once they get here our student-athletes put in the work to be great," Director of Athletics Josh Morton said. "We just finished one of the most successful fall seasons of competition and these awards today are just as impressive.  It's more proof of the Augie Advantage at work."
 
Augustana's 86 student-athletes are tops amongst all institutions in the NSIC.
 
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while the NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 GPA or higher.
 
Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his/her institution and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
