SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana football team is ranked No. 25 in the final D2Football.com Top-25 poll. The Vikings concluded the 2019 season with a 9-3 record and went to the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the fifth time in school history.
 
Led by NSIC Coach of the Year Jerry Olszewski, Augustana's nine wins are tied for the second-most in program history. At 6-0, the Vikings tallied an undefeated mark at home inside Kirkeby-Over Stadium.
 
The awards were aplenty in the postseason, led by Rimington Award Winner Jake Lacina, the nation's top center. In all, Augustana tallied 12 NSIC All-Conference selections including four first-team honors: Eli Weber, Sean Engel, Logan Swanson and Lacina.
 
Augustana joins National Runner-Up Minnesota State as the only two NSIC schools in the final poll.
 
The Vikings won six-straight games to close the regular season while placing runner-up in the NSIC with a 9-2 mark.
