SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's tennis team continues NSIC action in Winona, Minn. this weekend. The Vikings will take on Winona State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Upper Iowa on Sunday at 9 a.m.
The Vikings (6-0, 4-0 NSIC) are coming off a 5-0 win over Minnesota Crookston and a 4-0 win over Bemidji State this past weekend in which they saw their conference win streak go to 103 games.
In singles action against Bemidji State, Grace Goble defeated Hannah Alme 6-1, 6-2 to pick up her sixth win of the season, Anca Rusu defeated Breann Walsh 6-4, 6-0 for her fifth win of the season and Rebecca Falkner took down Hannah Peterson 6-0, 6-1 for her second win of the season.
On the doubles side of things against the Beavers, Kornelia Staniszewska and
Laura Arce Vieyra teamed up to take down Walsh and Brooke Mimmack 6-0 and Goble and
Annika Teske teamed up to defeat Peterson and Alme 6-2.
Scouting Winona State (4-1, 4-0 NSIC)
The Warriors are having a pretty successful season going undefeated thus far in conference play. Winona State is coming off a 5-2 win over Minnesota Duluth and a 6-1 win over St. Cloud State last time out. The Warriors are 22-8 in singles and 10-5 in doubles so far this season.
Scouting Upper Iowa (2-3, 1-3 NSIC)
The Peacocks split a pair of matches last time out, with a 4-3 win over St. Cloud State and a 5-2 loss to Minnesota Duluth. Upper Iowa is 7-14 in singles action and 4-7 in doubles action this season.
