BOX SCORE SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana men's tennis team recorded their first win of the season with a dominant 7-0 performance over in-state foe, Mount Marty at the GreatLIFE Woodlake Athletic Club on Friday.

In their first home match of the season, the Vikings did not disappoint winning every singles and doubles match on the night to take their first win on the season.

The junior from Sioux Falls, Logan Barr, picked up his first win of the season in singles defeating Logan Jager 6-0, 6-1. In No. 2 singles Joe Sawatzke defeated Alex Lehner 6-0, 6-0 to get his first win of the season. Senior Austin VanDerWeide picked up his second win of the season with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Nate List in No. 3 singles and Eden Mrozek defeated Zach Lyday in No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-0 to secure his first win of the season.

Rounding out the singles play was sophomore North Knewtson in No. 5 singles and junior Frank Kelly in No. 6 singles both securing a win. Knewtson defeated Toby Horsley 6-0, 6-0 to notch his second win in singles play and Kelly took down Giang Nguyen 6-1, 6-0 to pick up his first win of the season in singles play.

Over in doubles play, the Vikings had a lot of success as well picking up three wins. Barr teamed up with Sawatzke in No. 1 doubles to take down Jager and List 6-2 to move to 2-1 in doubles on the season. Kelly and Mrozek defeated Lehner and Nguyen 6-2 to also move to 2-1 on the season in doubles action and VanDerWeide and Knewtson teamed up to take down Lyday and Horsley 6-2 to stay undefeated on the season in doubles play at 2-0.

Augustana is back in action tomorrow at the GreatLIFE Woodlake Athletic Club at 6 p.m. against Morningside.
