SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the first time in program history, men's tennis has clinched a spot in the MIAA/GAC Tennis Championships set to begin on Wednesday morning. The championships will be hosted in Springfield, Missouri, at the Cooper Tennis Complex, April 29 through May 1. The opening matches of the 2026 MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Championship are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29. The winners of Wednesday's quarterfinal matches will advance to the MIAA semifinals, set for 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 30. The battle for the MIAA/GAC men's tennis title is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 1.

The Vikings
Augustana clinched its first-ever conference tournament berth after it defeated Emporia State last Friday in a thrilling 4-3. Pedro Pinto secured the final match-sealing point during the third set at no. 4 singles. The Vikings secured a 6-9 record this season with conference wins over Newman and Emporia State. 

Tadeusz Michalowski compiled a singles record of 9-3, where he went 8-2 from no. 1 singles and 1-1 at no. 2 singles. The Vikings hold an overall singles record of 36-47 and a doubles record of 19-26.
