SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana men's golf team is set to compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships tomorrow in Kansas City, Mo. at Shoal Creek Golf Course at 9:00 AM.
The Vikings last competed in the NSIC Preview, where Augustana totaled a two-round score of +54, 622, which tied them for 12th place.
Alex Stanz led the team and placed T27 in a field of 104 total golfers after he turned in a two-round score of 151. He finished at +9 (80, 71).
Jacob Lee, who placed tied for 48th place, also improved off his first-day score of 81 with a 75 on the final day and finished at +14 (156).
Cole Crawford tied for 53rd place. He fired off a round of 79 and 78 to total +15, 157 during the invite.
Carter Kranz finished tied for 59 with +16, 158 (80, 78).
Sam Sutcliffe finished tied for 101st with a two-round score of 176 for +34 (91, 85).
Hunter Von Bergen carded an 85 and 86 for a total score of +29 (171).
The winner of the NSIC Men's Golf Championship will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional, which will be played at Hot Springs Country Club, Arlington Course in Hot Springs, Arkansas on May 9-11. The NCAA Championships will be held May 21-25 at The Resort at Glade Springs, Cobb Course in Daniels, West Virginia, hosted by the Mountain East Conference.
