SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana track and field teams competed in the Northwestern Red Raider Invite, Bryan Clay Invitational, Mt. Sac Relays, and Beach Invitational this week and posted numerous personal bests and a number of NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks.
On the women's side,
Olivia Montez Brown highlighted the week, posting an NCAA Division II automatic qualifying point total in the heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. with 5,020 points. The point total is a top five mark in the country for Division II.Â
Mearah Miedema took first place in the high jump at the Northwestern Red Raider Invite with a height of 5' 4.5", a personal best.
Lily Noble took first place at the same meet for the second consecutive season in the pole vault at 10' 11.75".
Kali Ryan won the women's 800m title with a time of 2:16.52.Â
Sydney Mudgett won the 400m with a season-best time of 58.69 and
Sarah Westerman also put up a season-best as she took second in the long jump at 17' 8.75".
PattyJo English placed second in the 1500m with a time of 4:51.81.
On the men's side,
Tyl Woelber won his decathlon debut at the Red Raider Invite while achieving an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark of 6,356 points. Woelber ranks in the top 30 of the event nationally.
Josh Barrows ran the 400m hurdles at the Mt. Sac Relays in 53.19 seconds for an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark for the second straight week.Â
In the 400m hurdles at the Red Raider Invite,
Alex Woods posted a personal best in the event at 56.08 seconds.
Endre Wigaard took third in the 1500m at 4:04.87, while
Ryan Sully placed fourth in the 400m at 50.48 seconds.
Eli Anderson took fourth in the high jump at 6' 4.75".
The Vikings next competition is set for Wednesday at the Mt. Marty Invite in Yankton, S.D and Thursday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
