BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- The Augustana women's tennis team earned some more hardware from the conference office on Thursday.
Kornelia Staniszewska earned her fourth straight NSIC Player of the Year honor.
Laura Arce Vieyra was named the Northern Sun Freshman of the Year as well as four All-NSIC honorees in single and six in doubles.
Staniszewska, a senior from Opalenie, Poland, is the eighth NSIC Player of the Year in school history. She is ranked No. 29 in the nation in singles action . Staniszewska is also a first team All-NSIC honoree in singles after going 18-0 on the season at No. 1 Singles and went 8-0 in conference play. The senior also earned first team All-NSIC honors after going 20-0 on the season while paired up with Arce Vieyra in No. 1 Singles. The duo is currently ranked No. 14 in the nation in doubles action.
Arce Vieyra, a native of Mexico City, Mexico, became the fifth NSIC Freshman of the Year in school history. Arce Vieyra earned first team All-NSIC honors in singles and doubles this past season. Arce Vieyra teamed up with Staniszewska in No. 1 Doubles and went 20-0 on the season and 10-0 in conference. In No. 2 Singles, she went 15-1 overall and 9-0 in the conference play.
Taylor Jackson, a junior from Minneapolis, Minn., earned Second Team All-NSIC honors in both singles and doubles play. Jackson went 16-2 on the season in singles action, primarily in the No. 3 spot. She also went 12-6 while teamed up with Anca Rusu in the No. 2 Doubles spot.
Grace Goble, a sophomore from Rapid, City, S.D. earned Third Team All-NSIC honors after going 14-3 in singles action in primarily in No. 4 Singles spot. She also earned Third Team All-NSIC honors in doubles action after going 15-4 after teamed up with Annika Teske.
