INDIANAPOLIS -- Postseason play continues for the Augustana women's tennis team as the Vikings enter the NCAA Central Region Tournament as the No. 3 seed and will play No. 6 seed Northwest Missouri State in Topeka, Kan. on Monday at 1 p.m.

Augustana automatically qualified for the NCAA Tournament after winning the Northern Sun Conference (NSIC) tournament for the ninth straight year when they defeated MSU Moorhead 4-0.

The Vikings dominated the 2018-19 season, claiming their 10th straight NSIC regular season title, their ninth straight conference tournament championship and extend their conference win streak to 110 matches dating back to the 2009 season. Augustana concluded NSIC play with a 92-15 singles record and a 49-10 doubles record.

Senior Kornelia Staniszewska won her fourth straight NSIC Player of the Year award while freshman Laura Arce Vieyra earned NSIC Freshman of the Year honors.

The winner between the Vikings and the Bearcats will face the host school No. 2 seed Washburn. The top two teams from each of the eight regions will advance to the final site, which will be played May 22-25 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
