Jacob Lee Earns Fifth Place at UMC King’s Walk Invite

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The Augustana men's golf team finished its second and final round on Monday at the UMC King's Walk Invite led by sophomore Jacob Lee.

Lee placed fifth at the event, his top finish of the year. He finished with 142 total strokes at 2-under-par, after posting a 71 in both rounds. He was just five strokes away from first-place medalist Gage Stromme from Concordia Moorhead. 

Senior Cole Crawford and sophomore Sam Sutcliffe followed Lee with scores of 152 that tied them for 23rd. Sophomore Hunter Von Bergen followed closely with 153 strokes and a 28th place tie.  

As a team, the Vikings finished in seventh place with a two-round total of 602. The Vikings did improve on day two by four strokes, going from 303 to 299. Bemidji State took home first place honors with an overall score of 574.

Freshman Spencer Ehlers and sophomore Alex Stanz finished with scores of 157 and 158, respectively.
