2/20/2020 3:30:00 PM

Sioux Falls, S.D. -- The Augustana women's tennis team will travel to Minnesota for conference play between Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. Saturday's contest is slated for 4:30 p.m. while Sunday's will start at 9 a.m.

The Bulldogs

Minnesota Duluth is 3-1 in NSIC play and holds a three game win streak after suffering a loss to Winona State earlier in the season. The Bulldogs were picked fifth in the preseason NSIC coaches poll.

Isabel Thiner is 2-1 in the No. 6 singles and also 2-0 in No. 5 singles. In doubles, Thiner and partner Megan Anderson are 5-1 in the No. 2 doubles in the early season.

The Huskies

St. Cloud State is 2-3 in NSIC play, bouncing back last weekend to claim victories against Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State. The Huskies started the season with a slow start, dropping their first three contests. St. Cloud State was tabbed ninth in the preseason NSIC coaches poll.

Jill Kedrowkski is 3-1 on the season at No. 3 singles and has a 3-0 record at No. 1 doubles with partner Mirei Ichida. While Ichida also holds a record of 2-2 in No. 1 singles.

The Vikings

Augustana is 7-0 on the season and holds a 4-0 mark in NSIC action. The Vikings are now just one of three teams still undefeated in conference play, most recently coming off wins against Winona State and Upper Iowa, respectively.

Augustana has five members of its team to have not lost a dual match this year with junior Grace Goble and freshman Emily Granson having a 6-0 record. Freshman Aleksandra Kistanova and senior Taylor Jackson both hold 5-0 marks. Redshirt junior Rebecca Falkner and senior Anca Rusu are 3-0 in singles action.

In doubles play, Rusu and Jackson hold a 5-0 record with one win at No. 1 doubles and four wins at No. 3 doubles.
