BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Following four impressive performances, Augustana pitcher Ashley Mickschl is named the NSIC Pitcher of the Week. During the Arkansas Tech Winter Invitational, the Viking ace 3-0 with two complete games and one shutout. 

Mickschl's wins included a season-opening victory over No. 15 Cameron and a complete-game shutout over No. 10 Texas A&M-Commerce. In the win over Commerce, Mickschl's tools were on full display, mixing in an arsenal of pitches for a five-strikeout, four-hit, dominant-performance.

In four total appearances over the weekend, the rightly racked up 19 strikeouts against just 3 walks. The junior allowed just 17 hits in 24 innings and walked away with a 3.00 ERA. In 90 at-bats, opponents hit just .189 off her. The NSIC Pitcher of the Week honor is the second of her career. 

Mickschl, who also hit .450 from the dish with one home run and six runs scored, helped the No. 1 Vikings to a 4-2 overall record. 

The Vikings return to action next weekend, heading to Colorado for a pair of games against Metro State (Feb. 14) and Colorado School of Mines (Feb. 15).
