BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana freshman
Aleksandra Kistanova is the NSIC Tennis Player of the Week. Kistanova went 2-0 in singles action last week and 1-1 in doubles play to help Augustana to a 13-0 dual record in 2019-20.
Hailing from Seversk, Russia, Kistanova won 6-4, 6-7, 1-0 at No. 3 singles to help Augustana to a 4-3 team win over Embry-Riddle and followed with a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles over Lees-McRae. She then partnered with
Emily Granson to win 6-2 in doubles as part of a 6-1 Vikings win over Lees-McRae.
Kistanova completes her freshman campaign with an 11-0 record at singles and an 8-3 mark in doubles. She is one of three AU tennis players to have an unblemished singles record in 2019-20, joining
Anca Rusu and
Rebecca Falkner.
