SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Augustana head women's tennis coach Marc Kurtz is pleased to welcome Valeriya Monko as a signee to the 2020-21 roster. Monko is a native of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, and is ranked in the top 1,500 in the ITF World Rankings. 

"We are excited to have Valeriya join our team this fall," Kurtz said. "Valeriya is a strong player who also excels in the classroom. She has played in many international ITF events and is currently ranked No. 1479 in the ITF World Rankings. 

"Valeriya will have an immediate impact on our roster and we are thrilled to welcome her to Augustana!"

Born on May 16, 2002, Valeriya will graduate from International School in Novie Veshki, Moscow, prior to enrolling in classes at Augustana.
