SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University and Midco Sports Network have partnered to present Viking fans Augie's August. The month-long event will have an exclusive re-air in primetime of the three most recent team National Championships for Augustana.
 
"We're thrilled to partner with MidcoSN to showcase the excellence of Augustana athletics," Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton said. "We are proud to be the only school in the region that can celebrate three team NCAA National Championships across three different sports in the last five years and we look forward to watching and reliving these experiences."
 
The one-time-only event for each contest begins on Thursday, Aug. 6, with the 2019 NCAA Division II Softball Championship. The following Thursday (Aug. 13), the 2018 Baseball Championship will have its game re-broadcast while the 2016 Men's Basketball National Championship will be shown on Thursday, Aug. 20. All three re-broadcasts will be shown at 7 p.m. exclusively on MidcoSN.
 
The Viking softball team captured its second National Championship in 2019, winning the championship series 2-1 over Texas A&M - Kingsville. In the final game of the three-game series, the Vikings won 6-4 in come-from-behind fashion. Augustana finished the season with an incredible 61-11 record.
 
Augustana baseball claimed its first national championship in 2018, running through the entire postseason with just one loss. Augustana won the National Championship with a 3-2 win over Columbus State after moving through the winner's bracket unscathed.
 
Viking men's basketball ended the season on a 15-game winning streak while capturing the National Championship over Lincoln Memorial, 90-81. Augustana topped six nationally-ranked opponents throughout the season while recording a 34-2 overall record.
