Quotable
"We are ready to get things officially going this year. It's been a long 10 months since our season was cut short last year. We have a strong group of players returning and three really strong freshmen. We have tremendous depth and talent up and down the lineup. We have big goals for this season and we are excited to get some strong regional matches to start the year." – Head coach Marc Kurtz

Augustana returns eight student-athletes from last season and welcomes three freshmen to the mix. Last weekend, Augustana competed in an exhibition against North Dakota, topping the Fighting Hawks 5-2.

In that contest, freshmen Valeriya Monko and Florentia Hadjigeorgiou teamed up for No. 1 doubles while Monko played No. 1 singles. The duo won the doubles match 6-3 while Monko won her debut 7-6, 6-4.

The Vikings feature a pair of seniors on the 2021 roster in Rebecca Falkner and Grace Goble. Falkner played to a 6-0 record in 2021 while Goble tallied an 8-3 mark including a 7-2 record at No. 2 singles.
