BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- For the second time this season, Augustana cross country freshman Ryan Hartman has been tabbed the NSIC Athlete of the Week the league announced Tuesday.
Hartman achieved the accolade after his performance at the Chile Pepper Festival, which took place on Oct. 1, where the freshman led the No. 4 Vikings to a runner-up finish. He placed 20th overall in a field of 328 runners, entering the chute in a time of 24:31.1.
This is the Wausau, Wisconsin, native's second time being selected as Athlete of the Week, the first coming after Hartman won the 10th Annual Augustana Twilight.
The Vikings will have a break before competing at the conference meet on Oct. 23 hosted by Wayne State, in Wayne, Nebraska.
