HAYS, Kan-- Augustana men's golf wrapped up the Tiger Invitational in Hays, Kansas, hosted by Fort Hays State on Tuesday. The two-day event saw 15 teams competing in three rounds of golf at Smoky Hill Country Club, a course with a par of 70. Augustana finished 12th overall.
Jacob Lee was the highest finisher for the Vikings, finishing the tournament tied for 41st place with a total score of 230 over three rounds. Lee held the team lead from the first day into the second.
Hunter Von Bergen finished second for the Vikings, placing in a tie for 55th overall with a score of 235 strokes over three rounds.
Alex Stanz finished the tournament tied for 57th place. Stanz sank seven birdies in the third round to improve his first-day ranking by 17 spots from 74th to 57th. Sam Sutcliffe also tied for 57th place, matching Stanz's score of 236.
Will Allen rounded out the team scores for Augustana with a final score of 238 strokes over the two-day tournament.
The Vikings tee off in Las Vegas in March to begin the spring season.
