BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Augustana senior Taylor Beagle, for the third time this season, has been selected by the NSIC as the Swimmer of the Week the league announced Tuesday morning.
Beagle, a two-time NSIC Swimmer of the Year, broke four school records at the Augustana Invitational last week.
On Thursday, Beagle won the 500-Free, lowering her school record to 4:54.71 to hit the NCAA B standard. She returned later that day to win the 200-IM, breaking one of the oldest standing school records by over three seconds, dipping under the B standard by under a second.
She rounded out the day by being on the 800-Free relay that also broke the school record by over a second. En route to the school record in the relay, Beagle broke the 200-Free record by over a second, swimming her leg in 1:52.71. Her performance in the 200-Free is also a B qualifying standard.
Beagle returned on Friday, winning the 400-IM in 4:25.18 which was three seconds shy of her school record but well within the B qualifying standard.
Her final day of competition was rounded out by winning the 2650-Free in over 20 seconds, swimming a time of 17:06.39 to notch in her fourth B qualifying standard of the three day meet.
