NEW ORLEANS -- Augustana's Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Tracy Hellman has been named the Central Region Coach of the Year for both the men's and women's side the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

This is Hellman's ninth and 10th time being named Central Region Coach of the Year in his 21 years at the Helm of Augustana.

Augustana claimed NCAA Central Regional titles on both the men's and women's side with the men scoring 43 points and the women scoring 33 points. At the NSIC Championships, the women's team won the team title with 20 points while the men garnered the a perfect score of 15 points en route to the championship.

Earlier this week, Hellman saw all fourteen of his athletes entered in the regional meet earn All-Region honors. The Vikings were the only program in the nation to achieve the feat. 

The 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships take place on Saturday, Nov. 20, in Tampa, Florida.
