SIOUX FALLS, S.D.-- Two Augustana soccer players garnered United Soccer Coaches All-Central Region honors, as announced Wednesday. Senior Morgan Keirstead was named to the All-Central Region First Team and senior Savannah Ellender was named to the All-Central Region Third Team.

Senior Morgan Keirstead, hailing from Savage, Minnesota, was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Central Region First Team. Keirstead earned  D2CCA Women's Soccer All-Central Region honors and was named to the NSIC All-Conference First Team. She recorded 22 points on the season after scoring seven goals and tallying eight assists.

"Morgan continues to prove her value to our team with yet another award! Morgan is our rock in the midfield and was exceptional at facilitating our attack," said Augustana head coach Brandon Barkus. "I am very happy she was recognized for her contribution to our team fall!"

Senior Savannah Ellender earned United Soccer Coaches All-Central Region Third Team honors for her work in Augustana's backfield in the fall. With the help of Ellender, the Vikings were able to hold their opponents to 10.7 shots this season. Ellender recorded her first career goal in a 2-0 victory at Southwest Minnesota State. She also earned D2CCA Women's Soccer All-Central Region honors and First Team All-NSIC honors.

"I am super excited that Savannah was recognized for this award! She was an anchor in the back for us and truly stepped up as a leader for the team," said Barkus. "Savannah is very much deserving of this recognition!"
