SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana softball team is set to close out the nonconference season and open NSIC action on back-to-back days beginning Monday. First, the third-ranked Vikings will play Central Missouri in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Monday in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.

On Tuesday, the NSIC preseason favorites play at Wayne State with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.

Augustana, winners of seven-straight games, enters Monday with a 10-2 record.
Kendall Cornick has returned to form with a .500 batting average, tallying 17 RBI on 22 hits from four homeruns, four doubles and a triple. Right behind her in batting average department is
Abbie Lund who is hitting .474 with 12 runs scored.

Torri Chute who has four four-baggers on the year with 15 RBI.

Ashley Mickschl and
Amber Elliott have each totaled five wins. Mickschl owns a 2.97 ERA in 40 innings pitched with 26 strikeouts. Elliott had totaled 31 strikeouts in 35 innings.

Central Missouri enters with a 15-5 record on the season but dropped their last two games in a doubleheader with Central Oklahoma. Bailey Fowler leads the team with a .418 hitting percentage while ranking second on the squad with 14 RBI.

In the pitcher's circle, Sadie Parks owns a 5-1 record with a 1.78 ERA. Paige Petefish also has five wins, but with two losses and a 3.19 ERA. She leads the team with 35 strikeouts and has walked just two on the season.
