SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's tennis team preps for a trip to South Carolina to face the College of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, as part of its spring break trip. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. start on Wednesday.

About the Vikings

Freshman Valeriya Monko has made her presence known since arriving at Augustana in January. She has gone 11-0 in No. 1 singles and partnered with Florientia Hadjigeorgiou in No 1. Doubles, the dynamic duo has a perfect record at 11-0 on the season. Her efforts this season have already been awarded most recently, claiming her third NSIC Player of the Week honor

Sophomore Emily Granson is 9-0 on the season with six of her wins coming in the No. 6 slot. She is also undefeated in No. 2 doubles pairing with Aleksandra Kistanova with a 10-0 record.

About the Cougars

Charleston is 7-9 on the season and is 1-0 within the NCAA Division I Colonial Athletic Association. The Cougars are coming off a win against Charleston Southern where they won 5-2. They claimed the doubles point winning all three doubles matches. In No. 3 singles Halli Trinkle defeated her opponent 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. The Cougars also claimed victories in the No. 5 and No. 6 slots to solidify the win against Charleston Southern.
