SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana men's tennis team travels to St. Peter, Minnesota, on Sunday to face Gustavus and Luther. The Vikings will face Gustavus at 10 a.m. and Luther at 1:30 p.m.
 
About the Vikings
Augustana is 3-1 on the season after splitting with Midland and Doane last weekend. First, the Vikings fell 5-2 to Midland before bouncing back with a 4-2 triumph over Doane.
 
In an everybody contributes team, The Vikings have four members on its squad with three wins in four matches. Among them is Jakson Stoutamire with a 3-1 record and is a perfect 3-0 at No. 2 singles. Tory Shafer, also 3-1, is 2-0 at No. 5 singles in 2021.
 
About the Golden Gusties
Ranked No. 13 in NCAA Division II, Gustavus has not played an official match in 2021 and will open its season Friday evening against St. Olaf.
 
A member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Golden Gusties were off to a 4-0 conference start last season and were 9-2 before the season was cut short. Gustavus was tabbed as the preseason favorite in 2020 by the MIAC coaches.
 
About the Norse
Luther is a member of the American Rivers Conference and is 1-1 on the season prior to meeting the Vikings. When mixing matches played in the fall, Nyathi Motlojoa leads the Norse with a 6-0 record while Aidan Hunter is 4-0. Two others have at least four wins on their resume leading into Sunday's action.
