SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- The Augustana track & field team performed in three events, including placings of 1-6 in the 5,000m, at the Dordt Invite in Sioux Center, Iowa, on Friday afternoon.

A strong pack of Vikings ran the 5,000m on the women's side, led by sophomore Haylee Waterfall running 17:55.98 to place first followed closely by Meagan Schenk running 17:58.33. 

Sophomore Callin Naddy led the way for four more Vikings running 18:11.07 with teammates Taylor Melton, Ana McCabe, and Julia Lee clocking in times of 18:15.23, 18:17.50 and 18:20.16 to place third through sixth, respectively.

Sophomore Mariah Haight and senior Claire Boersma rounded out the 5,000m group with times of 18:35.57 and 18:47.75, respectively.

Elizabeth Yoder ran a personal-best in the 1,500m, clocking in at 5:10.64 to take second in the race.

Concluding the competition for the Vikings was the 5,000m on the men's side with freshmen duo Nick Larson and Caden Tegethoff. Larson ran to a second place finish in 16:03.89 and Tegethoff placed sixth running 16:25.56.

The Vikings return to action next week at the Jim Duncan Invite in Des Moines, Iowa, April 9.
