Augustana Men’s Golf Wraps Up Regular Season

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Augustana men's golf team finished up its regular season Tuesday afternoon with 27 holes of golf at the Central Missouri Mule Invitational in Warrensburg, Missouri. As a team, the Vikings finished 18th out of 23 squads.

Individually, the Vikings were led by junior Jacob Lee. Lee finished with a three-day score of 222 with rounds of 74, 72 and 76. Fellow junior Hunter Von Bergen followed closely behind with a three-day total of 224. Von Bergen's rounds were 73, 71 and 80 with his second round score of 71 being the best by a Viking in the tournament.

Junior Sam Sutcliffe finished the tournament with a three-round score of 229 with rounds of 77, 77 and 75.

The lone freshman in the tournament for the Vikings, Spencer Wittstruck, finished with 243 total strokes with rounds of 78, 87 and 78.

Junior Alex Stanz rounded out the Vikings with a three-day score of 244 with rounds of 85, 82 and 77.

The Vikings have 10 days to prepare for the NSIC Championships starting April 16 at the Shoal Creek Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri.
